Add the Right Accessories to Create Your Child's Dream Home

You finally got the pretend home for your child that she has always wanted. The next step is to decide what to put inside. There is a vast market for these items and pretty much anything you can find to put in you home, there is a miniature version that is meant to use in hers! Consider the age of your child and what she enjoys. It she spends time role-playing, you will want to supply her with the pieces to copy what she sees you doing on a daily basis. If she spends a lot of time with her dolls and stuffed animals, then a table and chairs with a teapot will be the center of her home.

With all the choices available, it is easy to carried away with the decorating aspect of the home and to forget the main idea of putting the right pieces in the pretend home. You want to create a place where she will enjoy spending time playing alone or with friends, not a doll's home that is pretty to look at. Make sure she plays a part in choosing what goes inside. You can even get inexpensive frames to frame her artwork to hang in her home or get pictures that she likes to add a comfortable feel to here new home away from home.

You may also consider adding a child sized rocking chair to her home, either inside or on the front porch if it has one. Rocking chairs are a favorite piece for many children where they can sit for some quite time or rock their baby dolls to sleep. Bean bags are another favorite that allow versatility since they can carry them easily to where they want to use them and they as good for napping on as they are for sitting!

Be cautious about shopping for the accessories for the home since they are apt to look much smaller in the store than they will be in the home. If you overdo it, there won't be enough room to play! Consider the room that you have to work and decide what will work best before you go shopping.

Choose pieces that your child can grow with. If you only get things that "fit" her right now, she will outgrow her home by next year. You will be better off to buy pieces that are recommended for her age up to two or three years older.

Don't forget that this is a place to have fun and she will want to have some of her toys available in her new home. A toy chest will make an attractive and convenient accessory to keep her things neatly stored while she isn't using them. A chest with a bench on top will serve double duty as a place for visitors to sit.

You can have a lot of fun with your child when you work together to determine what the most important pieces are that you need to complete her home!

What is Duodenal Ulcer and How to Diagnose?

The condition referred to as Duodenal Ulcer is one that typically announces itself as a sharp, severe pain in the upper part of the abdomen (the Epigastrium), appearing when a person is hungry and the stomach is empty. Essentially, duodenal ulcers are caused by too much acid in the stomach; when the acid proves too strong for the protective inner lining of the duodenum (the part where the stomach joins the small intestine), it starts, in effect, burning a hole in the stomach wall. It is this crater, or ulcer, which results in pain, particularly when there is no food inside the stomach to use up the acid that is being produced. Patients who develop duodenal ulcers usually tend to get relief from their pain by taking some milk, bland food or antacid tablets (like milk of magnesia), which can neutralize the excess acid. The danger of duodenal ulcers is that they erode the stomach wall - either perforating (so that the contents of the stomach leak out into the abdominal cavity) or erod
