The current economic landscape could be enough to dissuade anyone from leaving school and looking for work. Unemployment is at a record high and more businesses are downsizing rather than looking for new employees. Modern apprenticeships are paid positions too, starting at £95 per week and increasing with experience and performance. According to research, many employers offer more than the basic £95, with £170 being the average wage for young people on modern apprenticeships.

You don't have to be a university graduate to look for jobs with the modern apprenticeships scheme either; they're for anybody aged 16 or over.
