Positive Affirmations & EFT - An Excellent Combination

Positive affirmations are short, positive statements that you repeat to yourself everyday over a period of time. These affirmations may be not be exactly true at the moment you are saying them. But after repeating them to yourself after a period of time, your subconscious mind will begin to believe them, and as a result, your internal beliefs about reality will change.

Your internal beliefs determine what your perception of reality is. When these internal beliefs change, your perception of reality does as well.

Affirmations are great for "installing" any empowering belief you would like to have that will make it easier for you to reach your goal. They work even without the use of EFT. But with EFT, they can be made much more powerful. Self improvement advice dealing with affirmations usually ask you to choose an affirmation related to your goal, and simply repeat it yourself everyday for some time period, until it becomes part of your belief system.

For example, you might repeat to yourself everyday:

"I am becoming more confident in public speaking"

Or even:

"I am a confident public speaker"

When you first begin to repeat these to yourself, they might not be true. You'll actually feel some kind of resistance to them inside of you. You might also hear an inner voice saying "Yeah right!"

But if you are persistent with affirming these statements for a period of time, they will eventually overcome the resistance and "sink in" your subconscious mind. It might sound strange, but the human mind is amazing that way.

Notice that I still didn't even bring up EFT yet. But I will now. Going back to the resistance topic, I said that if you keep affirming a certain positive statement to yourself for a period of time, these statements will overcome the resistance. The thing is, this might a take a while to happen. But since you now know about EFT, you can speed up the process by tapping on the resistance itself.

For example, going back to the public speaking issue, you might want tap on the resistance by saying:

"Even though I don't believe that I am a confident public speaker because I am still scared of it, I deeply and completely accept myself"

Do some rounds of tapping and repeat if necessary, then try affirming again. Is the resistance still there? If it is, then do some more tapping. If it's gone, then be sure that your positive affirmations now have become way more effective.

I love helping people overcome any limiting belief that is holding them back from reach their potential. I do this by using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). My website is always updated with free articles on EFT and personal development.

What is Duodenal Ulcer and How to Diagnose?

The condition referred to as Duodenal Ulcer is one that typically announces itself as a sharp, severe pain in the upper part of the abdomen (the Epigastrium), appearing when a person is hungry and the stomach is empty. Essentially, duodenal ulcers are caused by too much acid in the stomach; when the acid proves too strong for the protective inner lining of the duodenum (the part where the stomach joins the small intestine), it starts, in effect, burning a hole in the stomach wall. It is this crater, or ulcer, which results in pain, particularly when there is no food inside the stomach to use up the acid that is being produced. Patients who develop duodenal ulcers usually tend to get relief from their pain by taking some milk, bland food or antacid tablets (like milk of magnesia), which can neutralize the excess acid. The danger of duodenal ulcers is that they erode the stomach wall - either perforating (so that the contents of the stomach leak out into the abdominal cavity) or erod
